The Director of Outreach and Development NSW will take a key leadership role in The Joint’s philanthropy programs in NSW, supporting this renowned organisation that has saved over a million Jewish lives since its establishment in 1914. Active today in more than 70 countries, The Joint and its partners work to alleviate hunger and hardship, rescue Jews in danger, create lasting connections to Jewish life, and help Israel overcome the social challenges of its most vulnerable citizens.  The Joint is the largest NGO in Israel, and the Israeli government’s major partner in philanthropy.

 

In this pivotal position on the Australian leadership team, your focus will be on fundraising and building broad-based support in NSW for The Joint’s global humanitarian activities. As a well-connected people person, you will use your interpersonal skills and networking ability to build meaningful relationships with current supporters and expand the donor base. You will help develop strategies for both friend-raising and fundraising, and engage with individual and foundation funders for major gifts.

BEQUEST MANAGER

The Amy Gillett Foundation (AGF) is Australia’s leading bike rider safety organisation. It was established in 2006 with the sole purpose of promoting safe cycling and reducing the incidence of death and injury to Australian bike riders.

 

Reporting to the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of AGF’s bequest program including donor engagement and stewardship of these donors. Working within a highly-collaborative national team, you will champion, and be AGF’s first point of contact for, bequests -  working to ensure an integrated approach to attracting prospects through targeted supporter communication, media promotion and direct marketing.

This position demands a proven bequest fundraising professional with a strong track record  in the management and administration of an estates pipeline as a beneficiary organisation, along with in-depth knowledge in fundraising legislation, practices and the philosophy of charitable giving.

 

Demonstrated understanding of bequest marketing principles, techniques and strategies - along with experience in a similar role with a for-purpose organisation - is essential. A genuine interest in bicycle riding and empathy for those who ride bikes will be highly valued.

Reporting to a progressive and passionate CEO, alongside a fun and dynamic team, you will build  and maintain the profile of AGF as Australia’s leading cycling safety organisation, growing an engaged community through AGF social media platforms. You will work in partnership with the Head of Philanthropy, developing valuable, inclusive collaborations and relationships with wide ranging internal and external stakeholders.

This pivotal role is charged with ensuring consistency & integration of programs and messages across communications, marketing, media, government & stakeholder channels. You must demonstrate the ability to translate and communicate academic language and research; writing in a clear, effective and engaging manner for different audiences and channels.

This critical role demands a seasoned media professional with exceptional presentation skills, high-level  expertise in the identification of PR opportunities, plus a track record building and  navigating valuable media relationships and networks.

Videography, photography & photo editing skills are highly-desirable, along with experience in website maintenance, digital marketing platforms (i.e., Mail Chimp). Demonstrated experience with and knowledge of digital and social media channels, including analytics and developing engaging content, is a must.

The Donor Relations Manager (Research Centres of Excellence portfolio) is a senior member of the Donor Relations Team and plays a key role in engaging with donors to generate funding for Epworth’s seven Centres of Excellence. This includes developing a program to identify new donors and providing personal, bespoke opportunities to strengthen relationships with current supporters of the Centres. 

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, you will engage and collaborate with senior staff, in particular the Centre Directors (who are renowned experts), Research Program Managers, Trusts & Foundations Manager, and the Donor Relations Team to help drive a donor engagement program that fosters a culture of gratitude and identifies major gifts and bequest prospects.  A key focus is to build a relationship with the Centres of Excellence to understand their strategy and identify new funding needs.

This newly created role requires a pro-active person with excellent communication skills, and experience in engaging and building relationships, donor solicitation and major gift stewardship.

GENERAL MANAGER

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer you will actively participate in strategic decisions, and provide effective leadership, direction and coordination to staff.  You will ensure that sound clinical standards are maintained for residents and accreditation,  whilst recognising that the most important aspect of the role is to deliver quality care for residents.

 

A background in Aged Care with proven leadership and management ability is essential, with understanding of accreditation and ACFI funding. Sound communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to innovate and achieve continuous improvement, while meeting budgetary objectives. You will need to be an RN with current registration, and a qualification in Management is desirable.
