Play a pivotal role in leading change in this highly regarded NFP as it continues to develop its lifestyle and service options for older people across Tasmania. This wholly independent organisation is the largest NFP aged care provider in the state and has properties in almost every region, providing care in residential facilities, lifestyle villages, and in the home. With 1100 staff and annual revenues of $85M, their focus is on providing high standards of nursing, health and aged care, hospitality, and wellbeing initiatives.

 

Reporting to the Chair of a skills-based Board, you will be responsible for ensuring that Southern Cross Care Tasmania Inc. provides its clients with excellent care, and by example, you will instil a culture of respect for those in its care and those who work for the organisation. The role of the CEO encompasses a multi-faceted range of duties requiring a combination of leadership, management, and compassion to ensure the effective operation and management of the organisation in meeting the needs of elderly residents and clients.

 

In driving the strategic plan, your key areas of responsibility will embrace all aspects of

 

  • Financial performance

  • Consumer Perspective (Residents and Families’ needs and expectations)

  • Leading, developing, and retaining SCCTas’s people

  • Exceeding compliance requirements (including continuous improvement)

  • Remaining competitive and viable (including risk management)

  • Building capabilities through sustainable systems and processes

  • Upholding and promoting the core values of SCCTas

  • Managing key relationships with diverse stakeholders.        

 

 

For this key appointment you must have at least five years in a comparable position, demonstrated experience in transformational change management programs, knowledge of applicable legislation and Aged Care regulations, proven business acumen, and the ability to provide effective leadership at a senior level.

THE CHAIRPERSON will need sound governance experience, a strategic approach and business acumen, and be a ‘leader amongst equals’ - with previous experience leading change as a NFP Chair or Deputy Chair.

THE BOARD DIRECTORS will need high level organisational experience in either Clinical Governance (Aged Care) or Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with knowledge of systems and cyber security.

Reporting to an enthusiastic and motivating CEO, this newly created role is responsible for managing day-to-day operations offering person-centred services for clients. You’ll provide leadership and direction for the Programs team and volunteers to meet current community standards, and advocate for client needs with service providers and government departments.

​

For this stimulating role you should have a background in community or NFP management and a track record leading teams who understand the principles of best practice. An understanding of the challenges facing the aged care sector and the ability to build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds would be highly regarded.​

Experience or qualifications in dementia would be a plus.

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum was established in 1984 by Holocaust survivors to memorialise the six millions Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust. It has grown into an internationally recognised institution dedicated to combating racism, hatred, and prejudice by fostering acceptance and understanding.

 

In this strategic position, reporting directly to the Head of Engagement & Philanthropy, your key areas of responsibility include growing sustainable revenue streams through philanthropic funding bodies and building valuable partnerships with HNW donors, while stewarding and developing the ongoing MHM donor journey.

 

Ideally you will be tertiary qualified, with at least 5 years’ experience working in a similar role and have a demonstrated record of success. You will bring sound marketing &  communications skills, have ability & enthusiasm for meaningful networking, and thrive in a small team environment.
